Woburn by Photo

Chronicling Woburn's vivid (and often trashy) milieu through original, amateur photography.

Sunday, May 14, 2006

every time i read the tagline about "original, amateur photography", i find it hilarious because--surprise, surprise!--the only thing advertising woburn has neither original nor amateur photography.

dude--who's fooled by the surgeons and the enormous libraries? what are you trying to prove?

cheers,
matt

p.s. for the uninitiated, the "first" post begins below.

i'm sorry for the hiatus, friends/ colleagues/ comrades, though i'm sure no one else on this blog cares, haha. i realize that this blog has lost its intial...lustre and its glory is now somewhat dust-covered, but yet! it's not all a heaping pile of shit. i mean, as difficult as i initially found this project, there was, and still is, actually a lot of good stuff going on at woburn (though it's generally cool to bond over the fact that there isn't anything going on at woburn). for me, so much vibrancy exists in the people (and their antics), the building (and its squalor), the culture, the odours, the staff....the brown bakery, the brown bakery... i could go on, and this is only my experience.

so this is just my attempt, in the time remaining, to try and document what the past year at woburn was like, through my humble, sketchy and generally inconsistent photography. i think i'll be posting...every day. yah, if i can manage it. i'll be away in florida for a while, but just you wait, i'll be back yet!

....and i was yearbook photographer, and i still didn't post any pictures here? what a douche.

anyway.

to the 3 (or 7, who really knows) of you who are aware of this blog's existence, i salute you with a hearty "welcome back", and thanks in advance, retrospect, whatever, for all the good times.

and thank god we didn't end up at campbell.

cheers,
matt

edit: i'm sorry, i'm just reposting and therefore RECOGNIZING THE ORDER AND SANCTITY (not necessarily in that order) OF OUR GROUP PHOTOBLOG.

cheers,
matt
